Who sells my ads?

AdBrite evolved from the idea of creating a tool to help web publishers sell their own ad space. It is an automated system that gives full publisher control to accept or deny ads, and really be able to sell their own ad space.
AdBrite is not a typical network like AdSense or YPN where it just serves ads that are targeted towards your site. AdBrite is a great incremental on top of programs like AdSense or YPN.

Tips and Tricks.
- Never start your pricing too high. It is better to error on the low side and get advertisers hooked, because then they will be willing to pay higher prices for your inventory when the pricing increases.
- Make sure your placement is worth buying, the popular sellers in the marketplace tend to be sites with the most premium inventory.
- Spend some time tagging your site, and giving proper demographic information
- In your site description provide ideas of advertisers that you think might convert well. You know your audience best.
- AdBrite is more successful if you sell a FEW premium placements as oppposed to just MANY backfill placements.
- Hard code all placements. because of the concreteness of "your ad here". Putting AdBrite in rotation doesn't perform as well. Just like an auction, the beginning price is never the final price.
- Allow a ramping period. AdBrite is a tool to help sell your own inventory, and think of it as a virtual salesperson for you. Any salesperson needs some time to gain traction.
- Entice advertisers with specials. You have full control to set pricing so make occasional specials to entice advertisers.
- Enable AdBrite’s auto pricing which will raise automatically as inventory sells, and lower itself as vacant inventory sits unsold.
It currently uses JavaScript code to incorporate the advertisements into a participating site. If it is included on a site which has not yet been crawled by the Mediabot, it will temporarily display advertisements for charitable causes
known as public service announcements (PSAs). (Note that the Mediabot is a separate crawler from the Googlebot that maintains Google's search index.)

To choose proper affiliate programs to make money with your web site, the first
important step is to find a theme affiliate related to your site content. If
you want to make more money online, it is apparent that you should select high
commission affiliates (in high percentage) or the best affiliate programs -
the higher commission affiliates. This is the second step. The next step is
to put the affiliate link code to your website (where it is as attractive as
possible). Normally you do not need to do anything more but wait for your commission

If you aren't lucky enough to be getting thousands of visitors to your site
each day and you want to make lots of money from affiliate programs the best
plan of action is to choose an affiliate program that has a combination of the
following

2. A residual income
3. Multiple Tiers
Affiliate programs offering a high commission are usually selling intangible
goods. Examples of these include e-books, software and membership sites. The
owners of these affiliate programs can afford to give large commissions because
although there is a cost associated with producing the product, the cost generally
stays the same regardless of whether the owner sells 100 copies or 1000 copies.
This is why these affiliate programs can offer a commission of 50% and sometimes
more, meaning that you can sell less of these products and make more money than
you would with a traditional affiliate program offering a 5% commission.
Affiliate programs offering a residual income tend to be those that offer a
service such as web hosting or access to a membership site. For example if you
direct a visitor from your site to a web hosting company that offers an affiliate
program with residual income and that person purchases a hosting package, you
would receive a commission every single month, for as long as that person stays
with that hosting company. The power of this is that you can build up a more
reliable income, which means a steady pay packet during the months when new
sales are slow.
Finally, a multi tier affiliate program is one that rewards you for recruiting
your own affiliates. As well as receiving a commission for sales that are made
through your affiliate link, you will also receive a percentage of the sales
made from the affiliates that you've recruited yourself.
So it pays to promote affiliate programs, but it pays even more to be choosy
when deciding on which affiliate programs to promote. Choosing programs that
pay high commissions and offer multi tier or residual income can make a huge
difference to your bank balance at the end of each month.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of considerations, but bearing these
in mind, should enable you to choose a program with a saleable product, and
reasonable income potential. To end on a note of warning, there are still a
few programs out there that are the internet equivalent of the chain letter,
no product, deposit $10 in xyz acct to join, and soon you will have hundreds
of people giving you $10 each. Yeah right!!! , the majority of people have heard
it all before { like those e mails telling you that have just won the Peruvian
$10 million dollar lottery which you didnt even enter } and will give programs
like this a wide berth, and so should you.
Simply put, affiliate marketing is all the ads you see while you are surfing
the internet. All the banners, text links to products or services in emails,
advertisment pop-ups, etc. People join a company that sells a product or service
online such as Target stores, or Amazon.com to advertise for them. This is called
becoming an affiliate for that retailer. Its completely free and takes about
2 minutes to join via the retailers website. Most of the retailers you see online
that sell something be it a product or service, offers an affiliate program
that again is completely free to join, and equally as easy. More on that in
later posts. When you join these affiliate programs they give you a series of
banner ads, and various other ads to promote the retailer with. You simply distribute
the ad in a variety of ways (more on that later as well) and everytime someone
clicks on your ad, visits the retailer and buys something or signs up for a
service, you get a commision on that sale. It could be a straight $100.00 for
every sale, or just a percentage of the sale price such as 50% commision.
